A project with a deadline

Plan something with stages and dates: a website, a move, an event.

1. Make a board with a bucket per stage: Ideas, In progress, Review, Done. Set Cards moved here become on In progress and Done.
2. Write About this board (Customize): the goal, the deadline, who's involved.
3. Add cards with a start date and a due date; assign people and priorities.
4. Break big cards down with a checklist, and spin off the big steps into their own cards (sub-tasks).
5. Link dependencies: on a card that can't start yet, Link a task > Blocked by. It shows Blocked until the other is done.
6. Add custom fields if you need them: Owner, Budget, Size.
7. Watch the plan: the Timeline shows what overlaps; Charts show progress and what's late; Filter > Due: Next 7 days shows what's coming.
8. Track time on cards with the timer, and set an estimate; Charts compare them.

When it's done: ⋯ > New board with this layout reuses the setup for the next project, and Archive puts this one away.
